Living as a Christian: top 25 questions for young adult women
Plain answers to real-life questions, each with a verse, one step to try, and a way to pass it on, because Jesus calls us to make disciples.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations … teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”Matthew 28:19-20
Answers are broadly orthodox and kept simple. Where Christian traditions differ, we say so. Ask your pastor for your church's teaching. Tap Listen to hear an answer read aloud.
1. Where does my worth come from?
Your worth comes from being made in God's image and redeemed by Christ. Not your looks, achievements or relationship status. God calls you His beloved.
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”Psalm 139:14 (KJV)
Try this: Write three truths about who you are in Christ.
Pass it on: Encourage a friend with one of those truths.
2. How do I know my calling?
God calls you first to faithfulness where you are. Look at your gifts, the needs around you and wise counsel. Your calling may include work, family, church and service.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)
Try this: List your gifts and ask friends what they see.
Pass it on: Mentor a younger girl.
3. How do I wait well for marriage?
Singleness isn't a waiting room; it's a season with purpose. Grow in Christ, serve and build friendships. Pray honestly about your desires.
“But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.”1 Corinthians 7:32-35 (KJV)
Try this: Use this season to serve in one new way.
Pass it on: Encourage a single friend.
4. What should I look for in a husband?
Look for a man who loves Jesus, shows character, treats others well and serves. Chemistry matters, but character matters more. Seek your family's and mentors' input.
“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.”Proverbs 31:30 (KJV)
Try this: Write down your must-haves.
Pass it on: Discuss them with a trusted mentor.

Try this: Unfollow accounts that feed comparison.
Pass it on: Celebrate a friend's success genuinely.
6. How do I deal with anxiety?
Anxiety is common and you are not alone. Pray, talk to someone and seek help if needed. God cares for you deeply.

Try this: Name one boundary you need and set it this week.
Pass it on: Help a friend think through a boundary.

Try this: Sign up to serve once this month.
Pass it on: Bring a friend.
